BRISKET · USER AGREEMENT

Explore with care

Effective October 16, 2026. This User Agreement (the “Agreement”) is a shared understanding between you and the operator of the Brisket editorial website at brisket.wiki (“Brisket,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It applies to your reading of the journal and use of its free mindful tools (together, the “Service”), and works alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Agreement and acceptance

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service. This Agreement does not create any account, partnership, or professional relationship between you and us, and it does not waive any statutory or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

2. The Service we provide

Brisket is an independent English-language journal about nature, outdoor rituals, and everyday wellbeing, together with a small set of free, browser-based mindful tools. The Service is provided for general educational and inspirational purposes only. There is currently no account registration, social feed, public comment system, paid plan, or purchase feature, and this Agreement does not imply that those features exist.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher, to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement. The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

4. Your conduct and acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and respectfully. You must not: (a) use the Service for any illegal, deceptive, or unauthorized purpose; (b) infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person; (c) upload or transmit malicious code, or probe, attack, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Service or its infrastructure; (d) scrape, crawl, or harvest content in bulk in a way that impairs ordinary access or violates applicable rules; (e) impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation; (f) use our content to encourage trespassing, wildlife disturbance, environmental damage, harassment, or unsafe imitation of outdoor activities; or (g) present the Service’s wellbeing content to others as professional medical guidance. We may restrict or block access for conduct that breaches this Agreement or threatens the Service or its visitors.

5. Content standards

We work to keep the Service free of content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, or exploitative, and we do not knowingly publish material that promotes dangerous acts, misrepresents facts, or makes unsupported health claims. Where articles draw on an underlying dataset that contains unverified placeholder references, we identify that limitation openly rather than presenting it as research. If you believe anything on the Service violates these standards or applicable law, please let us know through the contact page.

6. Google services, cookies, and advertising consent

The Service loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the technical request data needed to deliver them. We do not currently display advertising. If Google advertising products (such as AdSense) are introduced in the future, then — consistent with Google’s EU User Consent Policy — we will obtain your consent where required before cookies or similar technologies are used for ad personalization, and third parties including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can withdraw consent or disable personalized ads at any time via Google My Ad Center, and you can learn how Google uses data from partner sites at Google’s partner-sites policy. Details also appear in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service’s original articles, design, the Brisket name and logo, and the mindful tools’ code and structure are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to read and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not republish substantial portions, claim our material as your own, or use our branding without prior written permission. Brief quotations with clear attribution and a link to brisket.wiki may be permitted by applicable law.

8. Copyright complaints

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect visitors to do the same. If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright, send us a notice through the contact page that includes: (a) identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed; (b) identification of the material on brisket.wiki that you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it; (c) your name and contact information; (d) a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (e) a statement, made under penalty of perjury where applicable, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We will review complete notices promptly and may remove or disable access to the material concerned.

9. Messages and feedback

Our contact form prepares a copyable draft on your own device; it does not transmit or store your words, and sending them to us is your own separate action. If you choose to send us feedback, suggestions, or corrections, you confirm they are truthful, yours to share, and free of unnecessary sensitive personal data, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use them to operate and improve the Service.

10. Health, safety, and outdoor responsibility

Journal content and the mindful tools are not medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment, and they do not guarantee any emotional, biological, or fitness outcome. The breathing pacer is a timing aid only: breathe comfortably, stop if you feel dizzy, and never use breath exercises while driving or in water. Outdoor activities carry inherent risks that depend on weather, terrain, equipment, health, and changing conditions — check current local guidance, obtain permissions, and seek qualified instruction where needed. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

11. Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT EVERY STATEMENT IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE, OR FROM ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN IN RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT. NOTHING HERE EXCLUDES LIABILITY OR CONSUMER RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.

13. Suspension and termination

Because the Service has no accounts, there is nothing to deactivate on our side — your session data disappears when you leave. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that breaches this Agreement or risks harm to the Service or others. Sections concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive termination.

14. Changes to this Agreement

We may update this Agreement as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and, where reasonable, announced on the site at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Agreement; if you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

15. Governing law and disputes

Consistent with our Terms of Service, this Agreement is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before starting any formal proceeding, please contact us and attempt good-faith informal resolution for at least 30 days. Failing that, disputes shall be submitted to the competent people’s courts of the place where the operator of this website is located, to whose exclusive jurisdiction both parties consent.

16. Contact

Questions about this Agreement are always welcome. Reach us through the contact page at brisket.wiki — we read every message, slowly and with care.
